Wilma G. Maish

WILMA G. MAISH, age 78, of Portage, IN, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2008.

Wilma is survived by four children: Howard (Jean) Maish of Akron, OH, Stephen (Maryanne) Maish of St. John, IN, Ruth Grissman of Valparaiso, IN, Reta Maish of Portage, IN; sister, Doris Eaker of Seattle, WA; two grandchildren: Stephanie (Jeff) Wade of Chesterton, IN, Suzanne Maish of St. John, IN; great-grandson, Hayden Roth Maish; many nieces and nephews.

Wilma was preceded in death by beloved husband, Wally in 1992; eight brothers and two sisters.

Wilma was a member of First United Methodist Church Portage and Ladies Group. She was a volunteer at Millers Merry Manor Portage a founding member of Friends Without Partners. Wilma was a graduate of Asbury College KY and a retired supervisor from LaPorte Co. Welfare Dept. She and her husband Wally were House Parents for several children’s homes including; Bashor Children’s Home in Goshen, Indiana.

Friends may call at Pruzin Brother’s Funeral Service, 2700 Willowcreek Rd., Portage, IN 46368 on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, March 20, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. DIRECTLY at First United Methodist Church, 2637 McCool Rd., Portage, with visitation one hour prior to service. Rev. Dennis L. Ticen to officiate. At rest Rolling Prairie Cemetery Rolling Prairie IN.
