Annual Events

Please see a list of our annual events below. For more information on how you can get involved, contact us.

Hospice Luncheon
We can’t express how appreciative we are for those who help others at the end of life. As a gesture of thanks, we host a luncheon for our local hospice staff.

Administrative Professionals Day
Each year, we provide a meal, games, and prizes to local clergy and their office staff as a way to say thank you for their hard work and dedication to our community.

Annual Veterans Dinner
Each year, we treat veterans and their spouses to a complimentary dinner at our Crown Point Reception Centre and a hall in Michigan City. We understand the sacrifices veterans make and consider it an honor to treat them to dinner and entertainment. We’ve been hosting this event for 10 years now, and look forward to many more years to come.

Sew Thoughtful
We have a phenomenal group of volunteers who bring their sewing machines to the Geisen Reception Centre and create sewing projects for various charitable causes. If you are interested in volunteering for this wonderful group, please contact Community Relations Director Jean Lahm at: (219) 663-2500.

Valentines Bingo
Valentine’s Day can be especially difficult for those who have lost a spouse. This event, featuring lunch, bingo, and trivia, provides an opportunity for togetherness and fun.

Annual Christmas Tree Bonfire
For over 22 years, we’ve celebrated the Epiphany with a bonfire! Families gather at the fairgrounds at Crown Point and LaPorte to enjoy the fun — and the free hot chocolate.

Memory Bear Workshop
Our Memory Bear Workshop provides stuffed bears for families who have lost a loved one. These bears are extra special because they are sewn together using clothing remnants of the person who has died. We are thankful for our volunteers who help create these cherished keepsakes.
