Bill was one heck of an all around great athlete. Not only was he great on the court and field, Bill was a "good guy''. It was my pleasure to know him. May he rest in peace. Now Bill is a Hall of Fame athlete in heaven. George

So sorry to hear of Bill's passing. He was my best friend in high school. I remember that we would put a dollars worth of gas in his old Fiat and cruise around for a whole week. It was definitely a step up to the '67 GTO. A basketball teammate as well as track he had a lot of natural athletic ability. Sincere condolences to Brenda, Danielle and family for your loss.

Brenda, I remember you pointing Bill out to me from your window. Who would have believed that you would go on to marry that cute blond boy across the street? When times were difficult my Mom would say, "I hope that Billy has something funny to say to lighten the mood." We looked to him many times for that. He had that twinkle in his eye. He would get serious and proud when he spoke about your success and his love of his daughter, son in law, and grandson. I know in my heart that he is entertaining your dad and all of our loved ones up there and they are having one heck of a great time! Lots of Love.

So sorry to hear of his passing. As a young student at Calumet High School I was fortunate enough to become the sports editor for the school newspaper. One of my first stories was about Bill’s state championship in the long jump. My condolences to the family. He was a giant to me in track. ?
