WILLIAM “Bill” L. RUSBASAN, age 74 of Crown Point, formerly of Merrillville, IN, entered into eternal life on Saturday, March 24, 2018.

Survived by his wife of 50 years, Carol; daughter, Sister Gayle; sons: Michael (Angie) and David (Hillary); six grandchildren; and brother, Kirk (Rene). He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Sylvia Ruzbasan and his daughter, Angel.

Bill was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, Merrillville. He was a graduate of Bishop Noll High School, Class of 1961. Bill was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a retired inspector at the EGL Mill, Sheet & Tin Mill, U.S. Steel for 42 years. Bill was a former member and past Commander of American Legion Post #289 and currently a member of Post #20. He was a loving husband, father, and Papa. Bill will be remembered for his fondness for Lionel trains and imitating Donald Duck.

Family and friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service, 6360 Broadway, Merrillville on Monday, April 2, 2018 from 2:00 to 8:00 pm. with an American Legion service at 6:00 pm and a prayer service at 6:30 pm. Funeral service will be 10:00 am. Tuesday, April 3, 2018 DIRECTLY from St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 801 W. 73^rd Ave., Merrillville, with Rev. Brian Chadwick officiating. At rest Calumet Park Cemetery. There will be one half-hour of visitation at church prior to services.
