William C. Bradshaw age 75 of Crown Point, IN passed away on Monday, October 12, 2009 at St. Anthony Medical Center. He is survived by his wife:Catherine Nee Timm Bradshaw of 50 years Son: Aaron Kathryn Bradshaw of Indianapolis Sister: Gwen David Applington of Bolingbrook, IL Many Nieces and Nephews Preceded in death by his Parents: Gail and Harold Bradshaw Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 16, 2009 at 10:30 AM at St. John United Church of Christ 1288 S. Indiana Ave. Crown Point, IN with Pastor Dan Barnum-Steggerda officiating. Interment will be at Maplewood Memorial Cemetery in Crown Point. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre NOTE: NEW LOCATION-2 blocks east of Broadway at 606 E. 113th Ave. Crown Point, IN from 3:00 to 7:00 PM and on Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the church. Mr. Bradshaw graduated from Middlebury High School and from Purdue University in 1956, after which he served for 2 years in the U.S. Army in Germany. William was a member of St. John United Church of Christ and served on various boards and committees; member of Disabled Americans Veterans; PI Kappa Phi Fraternity; former member of Kiwanis Club in Crown Point for over 30 years and served as an advisor to Crown Point High School Key Club; served in the local chapter of SCORE as a counselor during the 1980's and volunteered at the Community Care Cupboard. Memorials may be given to St. John United Church of Christ or the Community Food Pantry 1288 S. Dearest Cousin Catherine, When returning from a week's vacation this week I turned on my computer Friday, Oct. 16th, to read of Bill's passing. I offer you my deepest sympathy and prayer in the loss of your beloved husband, Bill. And it is a relief that Aaron and Katie are there with you. I am so sorry I was not able to be present to be there with you. For several years you, Bill, Doug and I would meet in Valpo for dinner together. Good memories. And when visiting Bill was always so pleasant and polite sitting there in his chair. May God surround you with His strength and love in the coming days as you grieve Bill's loss. Dear Catherine, I am so sorry to read that Bill has gone to his home in heaven. He will be greatly missed by many as he tried to help anyone he came into contact with that needed some one to talk to.
