WALTER (Wladziu) JayB. MAJCHER age 64 of Merrillville passed away Thursday March 30 2006 Survived by wife Kathleen of 40 years son Brian and his wife Shelly Majcher of Hebron 3 grandchildren: Jarrett Jaycie and Brett Majcher parents Walter and Helen Majcher of Hebron 2 brothers: Randy Majcher and Mark Majcher both of Hebron mother-in-law Rose (late Edward) Knaga of Crown Point 2 brothers-in-law: Jerry (Shirley) Knaga and Ken (Fran) Knaga both of Crown Point cousins nieces and nephews. Jay was a member of Our Lady of Consolation Church Gary Sportsmen Club American Legion Post 430 a graduate of Merrillville High School class of 1959 a retired display artist for Sears-Roebuck & Co. with 36 years of service and was in the Indiana National Guard. Friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service 6360 Broadway Merrillville Sunday from 2-8 p.m. Prayer service 3:00 p.m. Funeral service will be Monday April 3 2006 at 9:30 a.m. from Pruzin Brothers Chapel and 10:00 a.m. from Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church 8303 Taft St. Merrillville with Rev. Joseph Vamos officiating. At rest Calvary Cemetery Portage.

My deepest condolences to your family. I knew Walt when we worked at Sears almost 20 years ago. Walt was a great guy - always quick to make us laugh - just a great guy to work with. Was saddened to see of his passing. He will be missed.
