Walter Gray

Walter “Walt” Gray, age 66, of Demotte, IN, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2009 at his home. He is survived by his wife, Judith, 2 daughters, Kelli Miller of Roselawn, IN and Kris Todd Flanigan of Demotte, IN, son, Jeffery Holly Gray of Brook, IN, 3 grandsons, Kyle and Kory Flanigan and Peyton Gray, sister, Maggie Gene Curtis, 7 brothers, John Irene Lawson, Jim Gray, Lloyd Kay Gray, Roy Yolanda Gray, Tom Mitzi Gray, Ricky Mary Gray, and Benny Kathy Gray, many nieces and nephews and beloved pet, Moochie. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Lettie. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 8, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Geisen Funeral-Cremation & Reception Centre NOTE: NEW LOCATION- 2 blocks east of Broadway at 606 E. 113th Ave., Crown Point, IN with Rev. Marjorie Egger, M.Div. officiating. Services will conclude at the funeral home with cremation to follow. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2009 at Geisen Funeral-Cremation & Reception Centre, Crown Point from 1:00 to 5:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Walter was employed for 8 years at the North Newton School Corporation's North Newton Jr.-Sr. High School as the head custodian. He was retired from U.S. Steel as a supervisor in the No. 7 warehouse with 34 years of service, was a master of crossword puzzles, Jeopardy, and trivia and enjoyed doing home-improvement and carpentry work.
