TROY THOMAS NILOFF, age 50, a lifelong resident of Chesterton, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 27, 2021.
Troy is survived by his father Terry S. Niloff; stepmother Patricia Campbell; mother Kerry V. Lindner; stepfather Hugo Lindner, Jr.; daughter Emma R. Rhodes; brother Michael A. Niloff; sister Lisa M. (Hannes) Lindner; stepbrother Hugo Lindner IV; along with lots of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends. Preceded in death by brother Christopher M. Niloff.
Troy was born in Valparaiso in 1970 to Kerry (nee Ballogg/Niloff) Lindner and Terry Niloff. He was a graduate of Chesterton High School, Class of 1989 and Purdue University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science. He worked as a Corporate HSE Director at K2 Industrial Services.
On April 8, 2003. Troy and Michele Rhodes welcomed their daughter Emma into the world. Troy was a devoted father. He was an avid fisherman, especially for muskies on Lake Webster. He also enjoyed hunting and many other outdoor activities. He spent a lot of time with his family, which meant everything to him, especially his daughter Emma. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, co-workers and all who knew Troy.
Family and friends may gather for a memorial visitation on Friday, March 12, 2021 at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service (2700 Willowcreek, Portage) from 2:00 – 7:00 P.M. A Celebration of Troy’s Life will follow at 7:00 P.M. from Pruzin Brothers Chapel. Due to COVID, a maximum of 75 people will be allowed inside at any given time.
