Thomas Brown, age 55 of Michigan City, died Sunday, May 2 at his home in Michigan City. The service will be held Friday, May 7 at 11:00 a.m. at Carlisle Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, May 6 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, Michigan City. He was born July 5, 1954 in Michigan City to Thomas F. and Betty J. (McCormick) Brown, both of whom preceded him in death. On November 2, 2002 in Michigan City, he married Lynda Granzo, she survives in Michigan City. Also surviving are his daughters Alisha (Josh) Campbell of Union Mills, Carrie Brown, LaPorte, Ashley Kahn of Michigan City, Lisa (Tony Lovins) Granzo of Hamlet; sons Robert Granzo and Bruce Kahn, both of Michigan City, grandchildren Xaidyn, Jacari, Desirae, Curtis, Darrin, Amanda, Steven and Matthew; sisters Elizabeth (Darren) Westphal and Linda Felske; brothers Tony (Kim) and Jeff (Robin) Brown, all of Michigan City, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by granddaughters Shakira and Kamariana. Tom had been employed with the Michigan City Sanitation Dept. for over 10 years. He was a member of American Legion Skwiat Post 451, VFW Post 2536, DAV Danny Bruce Chapter, and the Guardian Riders. He enjoyed his grandchildren, riding his motorcycle, playing cards and going to yard sales. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
