Theresa G. Ellch “Terri” nee Vidosics age 66 of Hobart formerly of Merrillville, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2009 at Methodist Hospital Southlake Campus. Terri is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Richard Ellch; two daughters: Kelly Todd Hayden of Frankfort, IL and Leslie Ellch of Hobart; grandson, William Richard Hayden; two nieces: Lauren and Lindsay Ellch; beloved pup, Susan. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Gay Vidosics. Terri retired from the Merrillville School Corp. as a Teacher's Aide. She was a graduate of Lew Wallace High School, Class of 1960 Funeral services will be held Wednesday evening, January 14, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at Geisen Funeral Home, 7905 Broadway, Merrillville. Friends may visit with the family Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services at 7:00 p.m. In Lieu of flowers please consider a donation in memory of Theresa G. I'm sorry I couldn't be there for you. Please accept my condolences. Terri now can call Lynn every day. Love is the only thing we can carry with us when we go, and it makes the end so easy.

Terri and I worked together at Iddings Elementary School for several years. She and I shared a lot of laughs during that time. She knew that I was a 'dog person' and we spent a lot of time discussing our dogs and what they were up to. She always spoke lovingly about her 2 daughters and her grandchild and we shared many conversations by phone after she retired. My prayers and thought are with her husband, children, and her beloved dog Susan. May God bless Terri, he's getting a real angel!

Dear Ellch Family, I am so sorry that I cannot be there with you now, but please know that I am thinking of and praying for all of you as you celebrate your wife and mother's life. We have so many fond memories of Terri and always cherished her friendship and good council. She will be missed by us. I will always remember her smile. Love and Prayers, Joy

Dick, I am praying for you to have strength at the loss of your wife. The Lord is faithful, and while we don't understand his timing I have learned to trust that it is good. I wish I had opportunity to pay my respects in person but please know that you are cared for and being prayed for even at a distance.
