Terryl Lynn Murray

TERRYL “TERRY” MURRAY (nee Johannes) age 74; a longtime Portage resident, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2020.

She is survived by her husband William “Bill” Murray of 55 years; three children: Karen (Jamie) Spanier, Kristin (Scott) Westergren, Scott Murray; five grandchildren: Alexandra (fiancé Jake Thornton) Spanier, Joshua (Demi) Spanier, Christopher Bush, Peyton Westergren, Nathan Westergren; great-granddaughter Tara Mast; and her fur baby Jackson.  She is preceded in death by her brother Urban “Butch” Johannes, Jr and her parents Urban & Kathryne Johannes.

Terry was a graduate of Horace Mann High School, Class of 1963.  She was the general manager at the Lil’ Saver convenience store in South Haven for 15 years.  She loved to watch the Chicago Bears and White Sox.  Terry loved to shop and collect purses and to travel, especially to the warmth of Florida and Key West.  She was a fabulous wife, mother, and grandmother who always took care of her family first.  She will be missed by all.

Private services for her family were held.  Memorials in her name may be made to the MDS Foundation or the Leukemia Foundation.
