TERESA ROSE PALA (nee RIFFETT), age 52 of Portage, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013. She is survived by: husband: Paul of 25 years; five children: Todd (Erin) Gentry of Portage, Joseph (Jamie) Gentry of Portage, Paul Pala Jr. Portage, Brandon Pala of Portage, Jannessa Pala of Portage; four brothers: Jim (Marianna) Riffett of Portage, Larry (Rose) Riffett of Portage, Larry (Julie) Riffett of Portage, William (Janice) Riffett of Lake Station; two sisters: Diana (Daniel) Mahan of Portage; Judith (late Robert) Kulps of Portage. Preceded in death by parents: Melvin and Ruth Riffett; brother: Eugene Maynard; sister: Brenda Riffett. Teresa was a retired machine operator from General Mills Co. in Chicago. She was a graduate of George Washington High School in Chicago. Family and friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service, 2700 Willowcreek Rd., Portage on Friday, April 26, 2013 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. from Pruzin Brothers Chapel. I'm praying for the family. May God give you all strength to keep Teresa memories deep in you thoughts and hearts. She was a great mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. I'm sorry for your loss. She's in heaven looking down on all of you, happy to see the many people who love her. I couldn't make it to the wake but you are all in my thoughts and prayers. She suffers no more. May she rest in peace.

TERESA WAS NOT ONLY MY SISTER-IN-LAW BUT ALSO A VERY SPECIAL PERSON TO ME. SHE WAS HUMOROUS, COMPASSIONATE, AND LOVING. SHE LOVED HER CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN. WE HAD A LOT OF CONVERSATIONS,LAUGHS AND TEARS. I WILL TRULY MISS YOU. YOU WILL ALWAYS BE IN MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS.

To the whole family I send my deepest sympathy me and Teresa went way back I use to watch her two oldest sons back in the day and spending time with Teresa was a blessing she was an angle here on earth and I am sure she is one in heaven too. God bless you Teresa and to the family you all are in my thoughts and prayers.

My deepest sympathies to Teresa's entire family. We were friends back in the late 70s and use to go dancing together or coffee clutching with her sisters. She was a beautiful woman with a loving heart and a caring soul. She will definitely be missed.
