SYLVESTER ARREDONDO age 80 of Merrillville passed away Monday May 30 2011. Survived by two daughters: Maryann (Ron) Schlesinger of Hobart & Christine (Paul) Bowman of Merrillville 4 grandchildren: Joseph (Natalie) Granatelli Stephen Granatelli Hannah & McKenzie Bowman four brothers & two sisters: Juanita Sanchez of East Chicago Jesse (Eva) Arredondo of Granger IN Dr. Jose (Delores) Arredondo of Merrillville Camila (Rolando) Trevino of Highland Ramon (Trisha) Arredondo of Crown Point Judge Lorenzo Arredondo of Crown Point: sister-in-law Janet (Donald) Mayersky of Valparaiso and many nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by wife Carole parents Miquel & Maria brother Miquel and sisters Socorro Fernandez and Marie Arredondo. Mr. Arredondo was a former member of Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church. He was a retired crane operator from Inland Steel with 44 years of service a member of U.S.W.A Local #1010 and was a Merrillville Precinct Committeeman. Sylvester was a a graduate of East Chicago Washington High School a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the V.F.W. Post #1563. Family and friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service (6360 Broadway Merrillville) on Thursday from 2-8 P.M. with a V.F.W. service at 7:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held Friday June 3 2011 at 10:00 A.M. from the Pruzin Brothers Chapel with Rev. Joseph Vamos officiating. At rest Calumet Park Cemetery.

Syl was a good customer and a friend in the days we had the Shell station in Brunswick. We talked about family and had some good times. We also miss Carol. Our sympathy to the entire Arrendondo family in the loss of their Brother. Bob and the entire Falcone family.

Maryann & Christinewe are here for you not only at this time but always!Im sure you both feel lonely but you will never be alone.You have a very large family and we will always be here for the both of you(as well as your families). We lost a great uncle & aunt but at least your parents are together dancing in heaven.May GOD bless you & they watch over you.We love you!!!!
