Steven M. Mason, age 46, of Michigan City, died Friday, Feb. 6 at his home in Michigan City. Family services will be held at Carlisle Funeral Home with Rev. John D. Hall officiating with full military rites by VFW Post #2531. Mr. Mason was born May 19, 1962 in Michigan City to Donald C. and Beverly J. (Spacht) Mason, both of whom preceded him in death. Surviving are brothers Michael (Paula) Mason of NM, Phillip (Scarlett) Mason of LaPorte, David (Rebecca) Mason of Wanatah, sister Sherri Jania of Westville, and brother Perry (Dan) Mason of Indianapolis; and 11 nieces and nephews. Mr. Mason had been a mechanic with Interstate Rentals for 6 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Foundation.
