Sending the entire family my sympathies as it is tough to say goodbye. He lived an amazing life and leaves a tremendous legacy of beauty and love. Ryan is such a tremendous man, in part due to his father's big heart and wisdom. I so enjoy knowing and loving Ryan + Fern. You all did a tremendous job taking care of him and ensuring this last season was comfortable and accommodating. A job well done! He is no doubt in Heaven smiling at each of you and is with you always. May peace be with you.
Fernando Senra-James left a message on January 8, 2024:
Saying goodbye to someone so loved is never easy, even when you understand that it was time for him to rest and be at peace. Steve was an incredible father-in-law who loved his family fiercely and often showed how much be cared through his witty banter (if he teased you, that meant you were in), though he never missed an opportunity to directly say, "I love you." He was also one of the most enthralling storytellers I've ever known - he'd remember names, details, re-enact emotions and leave you saying, "is that true?!" and he'd always swear to it. Steve, you leave a lasting legacy through your children and all who had a chance to know you. I know you received the most amazing welcome into heaven from your beloved Weezie, family, friends, and the many pups who treated you as the leader of the pack. We send our love to you. Keep an eye on all of us.

Ryan, we never had the pleasure of meeting your dad. However, he must have been a remarkable person to have raised a wonderful young man like you. Warm hugs to you, Fernando, and your family. Vie Vie and Tom
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
