Sophie L. Foley, nee Zavesky age 87, of East Chicago, IN, passed away on Friday, March 19, 2010 at Methodist Hospital in Merrillville, IN. Sophie is survived by her 2 sons: Arlington J. Wendy Foley Sr. of Crown Point, and Norman C. Priscilla Foley Jr. of Hammond; 4 grandchildren: Justin Brianna, Arlington Jr. and Tina Foley, and Leslie Brian Brinkman; 3 great-grandchildren; Eve, Kyle & Robbie. She was preceded in death by her husband; Norman C. Foley Sr. to whom she was married for over 50 years. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Geisen Funeral-Cremation & Reception Centre NOTE: NEW LOCATION-2 blocks east of Broadway at 606 E 113th Ave. Crown Point, IN. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Friends may visit with the family on Monday, March 22, 2010 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Geisen Funeral-Cremation & Reception Centre in Crown Point. Sophie was a member of St. John The Baptist Church in Whiting and St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in East Chicago. She was retired from Indiana Bell with over 20 years of service. Sophie enjoyed spending time with and taking care of her grandchildren.
