SCOT S. HINKEL age 48 of Cape Coral FL formerly of Valparaiso passed away Friday May 29 2009. He is survived by his wife of 21 years Dianne son Scot Anthony TonyHinkel of Hobart parents Richard and Marcella Hinkel of Valparaiso sister Beth (John) Svetich of Valparaiso two brothers: Jeff (Marlene) Hinkel of Chesterton Claud (Barb Robinson) Hinkel of Hebron aunt Dolores (late James) McCabe of Valparaiso nieces and nephews cousins. Preceded in death by grandparents Bernice and Louis Bakota and Sam and Anna Hinkel. Scot was a graduate of Wheeler High School. He was a member of Gary Sportsmen Club a member of Sons of American Legion Post 502 a pipefitter for XL Industrial Co. and a former adjuster for Farm Bureau Ins. and NCA. Scot enjoyed fishing hunting and playing golf. Friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service 6360 Broadway Merrillville Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be Wednesday June 3 2009 at 10:00 a.m. DIRECTLY at St. Elizabeth Seton Church 509 W. Division Road Valparaiso with Rev. David Gosnell officiating. Visitation one half hour prior to service. Services will conclude at the church with cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to the family.

I work at a bar in marietta ga and i met Scot about 2yrs ago while he was working in Georgia. He was one of the most amazing men that ive ever met!!! Im deeply sorry for the loss! I cant believe it.
