Ruth Laverne Pilkenton Duncan, age 83, passed away peacefully with family members at her bedside on Friday, January 16, 2009 at her home in Hebron, IN formerly of Lowell, IN. Laverne was born in Louisville, KY and was the last surviving of her 3 siblings, Marie, Norma and Bud. She is survived by her daughters, Darlene Al Hurst of Hebron, IN, Char David Wilson of Kouts, IN; and her sons, Alan Gwen Johnson of Momence, IL, Fred Chris Hinkel of Oakland, TN and Ed Mehling of Phoenix, AZ. She also leaves 21 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by daughters, Audrey Genotte of Momence, IL , Marian Conner of Knox, IN and grandson, Shane Conner of Lowell, IN. Private cremation services were held at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre, NOTE: NEW LOCATION at 606 E. 113th Ave. 2 blocks east of Broadway, Crown Point, IN.
