Russell B. Roach

Russell Roach, age 73, of Merrillville, IN formerly of Hammond, passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at Community Hospital with family at his side. He was born in Fyffe, AL and graduated from Fyffe High School. Russell was preceded in death by his parents, Katye nee Berry and John A. Roach; older brother, John Roach; and younger sister, Roma Kate Baker. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Robin nee Hess; three daughters: Dianna Mario Rodriguez of Merrillville, IN, Michelle Mark Witte of Garretsville, Ohio and Lisa Lancaster of Merrillville, IN; 6 cherished grandchildren; sister, Martha Barcus of Nashville, TN; and nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 16, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Living Grace Church, 2804 W. 78th Avenue, Merrillville, IN with Pastor Michael Brown officiating. Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN. Friends may visit with the family directly at Living Grace Church from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at 11:00 A.M. Russell retired from LTV Steel after almost 44 years of service. He loved his family, going to auctions and traveling the back roads of Indiana. He will be missed!
