Robert “Bob” Ruble, age 89, of Crown Point, passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2018.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years: Norma (nee Schroeter); three children: Dan, Todd (Mary Kay), and Tom (Michelle) Ruble; four grandchildren: Jenny, Matt, Chris, and Stefanie Ruble; and his nieces and nephews.

Bob is preceded in death by son: Dean Ruble; father: Ross (Agnes) Ruble, mother: Mary (Adolf) Ruble Von Borstel; brothers: David (Peggy) and Keith “Bud” (Cel) Ruble; and Bob’s infant son.

Bob was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, where he was an active member having served on the church council. He was a graduate of Crown Point High School, Class of 1947. Bob was a retired pipefitter from Local #597 Pipefitters with 70 years of dedication. He was a proud Army veteran and had served his country during the Korean War. Bob was also an avid fisherman who would fish everyday during the summer months from his Minnesota home for the last 30 years.

Family and friends may call on Pruzin & Little Funeral Service (811 E. Franciscan Dr, Crown Point) on Sunday, June 3, 2018 from 1:00-5:00 PM. Funeral Service will take place at St. John’s United Church of Christ (1288 S Indiana Ave, Crown Point) on Monday, June 4, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Wendell Thacker officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to service.

Memorials are preferred to St. John’s United Church of Christ.
