Robert H. Wallace, age 85, of Hebron, IN, passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at his home. He was retired from LTV Steel with 30 years of service and served in World War II 18th Marines 2nd Division. Robert enjoyed watching the Cubs and Bears and going to auctions. Robert was preceded in death by his wife: Margaret; parents: John and Dent Wallace; 1 sister; 3 brothers, and granddaughter: Sarah Heap. He is survived by 3 daughters: Karen Rick Meyne of Portage, IN, Linda Michael Heap of Indianapolis, IN, and Joy Jeff Taber of Hebron, IN; 7 grandchildren: Greg Kim Meyne, Doug Valerie Meyne, Matthew Meyne, Lisa, Ryan, and Jason Heap, and April Taber; 6 great-grandchildren: Tiffany and Sarah Davis, Emily and Alyssa Meyne, and Grace and Hannah Meyne. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 14, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Geisen Funeral Home, 624 N. Main St., Hebron, IN, with Minister Michael Heap officiating. Interment at Graceland Cemetery in Valparaiso, IN. Friends may visit with the family at Geisen Funeral Home, Hebron on Thursday, May 13, 2010 from 4:00 to 9:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be given to the World War II Veterans Fund. I WAS A YOUNG MILLWRIGHT WORKING FOR YOUNGTOWN SHEET & TUBE IN 1969. ROBERT WAS A GREAT TEACHER WORKED WITH PRIDE. HE WILL BE GREATLY MISSED. HIM BEING A MARINE.
