Robert Foster Brandon, age 76, of Crown Point, IN passed away on January 15, 2010 at Riley Hospice Center. He was born February 9, 1933 to James and Frankiebelle Martin Brandon in Lorain, OH. After high school he served his country honorably in the Army as a Sergeant during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Western Southern Life Insurance Company. Bob enjoyed woodworking, old movies, cooking, and was very active with the American Legion. He was the Past Commander of American Legion Post 485 Brunswick Schererville, IN. He is survived by his 4 children, Jeff Wendy Brandon; Mark Lori Brandon; Bob MaryBeth Brandon; and Gayle Bill Kovach; 9 grandchildren, Shawn Jenny, Shannon, Kim, Kaylee, Grace, Sam, and Jack Brandon; Tiffany Black; and Jason Kovach; 3 great-grandchildren, Megan, Zach and Emma; brother, Paul Suzette Brandon; sister, Barbara Tony Polito; and longtime companion, Jane Brandon Preceded in death by his parents; brother, James M. Brandon; and sister, Lois J. Brandon White. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday January 25, 2010 at 3:00 PM at Geisen Funeral Home, 7905 Broadway Merrillville, IN 46410 with Pastor Mark Wilkins officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Monday January 25, 2010 from 1:00-3:00 PM at the funeral home.
