Robert “Bruce” Amundsen, age 77, of Hobart, IN, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2021.
Bruce is survived by his wife of 42 years, Linda; children: Mark Amundsen, Michael Amundsen, Luke Amundsen; grandchildren: Nicholas and Alexis.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents: Carl and Marie Amundsen; son, Jacob Amundsen; brother, Glenn Amundsen.
Bruce served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of Nativity of Our Savior Catholic Church in Portage. Bruce was a singer, a songwriter and a musician; and was a wildcard character.
Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at Nativity of Our Savior Catholic Church in Portage, IN, from 9:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Services at 10:00 AM with Fr. Kevin McCarthy officiating. Interment to follow at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, IN.
Due to Covid-19, restrictions include: social distancing at 6 feet, and face masks will be required.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Bruce’s name to St. Jude House in Crown Point or Nativity Food Pantry in Portage.
