Robert Anthony Ippolito, Sr., age 89, of Merrillville, IN, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024.

Robert is survived by his children: Ronald (Maria) Ippolito and Russuel (Heather) Ippolito; grandchildren: Steven, Stephanie (Kenneth) Lafayette, Staci (Patrick) Bonzani and Kaycee; great-grandchildren: Jayden, Payne, Declan and Gavin.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Joann Ippolito; and son, Robert Ippolito, Jr.

Robert served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and worked as a bricklayer for Inland Steel for 31 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post #430 and Moose Lodge #260. Robert enjoyed fishing and woodworking.

Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre, 606 E. 113th Ave., Crown Point, IN 46307 from 1:00 pm until the time of Funeral Service at 4:00 PM with Pastor Jamie Constant officiating.
