Rita T. Bryner nee Moore, age 74, of Crown Point, IN, passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2010 at her home. She is survived by her husband: Robert; 2 children: Edward Berry and Lorrie Rashid Abdul-Ghani of Las Vegas, NV; brother: Tom Moore, and many grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband: Luther “Clyde” Berry. Private services were held on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 with Rev. Joseph E. Vamos officiating. Interment at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville, IN. Mrs. Bryner was a member of Our Lady of Consolation Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. Memorial contributions may be given to Our Lady of Consolation Church, 8303 Taft St., Merrillville, IN 46410. I am indebted to Rita for caring for my stroke-patient husband. She was a proud and capable CNA and she worked for a year in 93-94. She never failed me. She arrived Monday thru Friday promptly at 6 AM along with her white poodle, Korabelle, and worked til 5 PM while I worked at The Anderson Co. I needed to complete my 20-year employment for retirement benefits. I still have her daily diary she kept about my husband. I retired 7-94 and he died 11-95. Last time I saw Rita was at his funeral. We did exchange Christmas Cards for awhile and then she stopped and we lost track of each other. I regret not keeping in touch. Farewell, Rita, I will never forget you because you left an impression on my heart.
