Our deepest sympathies to Richie's family. Richie was a long time friend to me and my wife. It was always good to see him around the square. Whenever you would see Richie he would always come up to you and put his arm around your shoulders, and say how the heck are you doing?.I will miss that, along with all the friendly and simple conversations about everyday things and alot about the good ole days.Richie always spoke from the heart.I will miss him,as will many others. A loyal friend for sure. -Eddie Eddie and Laura Brown

Diane Stratton left a message on July 26, 2009:
Richie lived right around the corner from me when we were young kids. I saw what it took for him to keep up, but he always hung in there, learning to deal with things that must surely have been frustrating. In adulthood when he was living and working on the downtown CP square, all of us around town saw him alot. He was always nice, lots of fun, and a great guy who you enjoyed being around. He was an important part of the fiber of our city; a very special person in the hometown history who will always be remembered with a smile. What a great example he set with his fortitude and upbeat, friendly personality. May his family know that he was treasured by his hometown neighbors and friends. Heaven has gained the angel that CP has lost. My deepest sympathy to you. You are all in my prayers.

Ritchie was my friend and I will miss him. He was a very cool dude and a genuinely nice guy - we danced at the 25th CPHS reunion and I'll never forget how much fun we had. Godspeed, Ritchie!
