Thank you ALL so very, VERY much! What can I say about me Da that you all don't already know. He was a great, GREAT man. Never in a million years could I ask for a better Dad than Dick Young. He was ONE in a billion. GOD truly blessed me with one of the best fathers ever. And, through my Da's kind, loving and compassionate nature I learned about the TRUE nature of GOD's Mercy, Compassion, and unconditional LOVE. Thank you SO much for everything you are and for loving me despite my flaws, Da. I LOVE and miss you so very, very much.

I knew Dick for a long time because of my father. We went to several Irish football games and Cubs games with Dick over the year. I remember the summer my first wife and I went into Chicago to see her cousin play the Cubs as he was pitching for Arizona at the time. We went to the Friday game but didn't have tickets for Saturday. I recommended going to Bernie's to watch the game as we had gone there him with Dick several times. As we walk in sure enough this at the bar in full Cubbies attire but Dick himself. After talking for a bit, Dick disappeared into the back. Came out with 2 tickets, 3 rows up behind the D Backs bullpen. Face value. One of many great Dick Young stories. Our condolences go out to his family. He was a great man and will be missed.

I wanted to express my deepest sympathy to the family of Mr. Young. He was among one of my favorite customers. We called him our "corn Man" because every season he would go out and get the best corn for us from one of the local farmers. He would explain to us each time how to cook it and how Delicious it was. Mr. Young was a nice man that never seemed to meet a stranger. He had a lot of great stories of the past that he shared about his life. May you rest in peace until then... see you

I met Dick many years ago at the FOP. My husband was a police officer at the time; therefore, I was there by myself many times. He was always quite boisterous, very congenial, easy to talk with, and funny. Boy, did he love Notre Dame!! I do not know you, the family, but I am sorry for your loss. It was always fun to be around Dick; He will be missed by all.
