RICHARD DICKJ. WILLIAMS age 78 of Crown Point passed away Saturday April 3 2010 surrounded by his family. Survived by 3 children: Rick (Delane) Williams of Crown Point Robin Williams of Michigan City and Jennifer (late James) Walkowiak of Lowell 5 grandchildren: Josh Williams Nate (Ashley) Williams Luke (Nicolle) Walkowiak Natalie Williams and Jake Walkowiak sister Virginia Griggs of WI sister-in-law Lee Williams of CA many nieces & nephews and a great grandson James Michael Walkowiak who gave him much joy and happiness. Preceded in death by his wife Alyce infant son Richard son Jeff and many brothers & sisters. Richard was born to Elijah and Lola (Bassett) Williams of Tomah WI and was part of a large and loving family. Richard was a retired manager from Len Pollak Buick Gary with 42 years of service. He was a Air Force veteran of the Korean War and a member of American Legion Post 279 and the NRA. Family and friends may call at Pruzin & Little Funeral Service 811 E. Franciscan Dr. (south of St. Rd. 231 on St. Rd. 55) Crown Point Wednesday April 7 2010 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be Thursday April 8 2010 at 12 Noon at Pruzin & Little Chapel. At rest Maplewood Memorial Cemetery Crown Point.

My Sympathies to the Family of Dick Williams. He was my boss at the Gary Buick Dealership when it was Len Pollak Buick. Dick was also a great person giving me advise and guiding me in the right direction when needed. I am still with that same company 33 years later. I am sorry I was not able to attend the funeral I really wanted to be there. Mark Sattler

We are very sorry for your loss. Dickie was a great Uncle and my last one on the Williams side. We were looking forward to seeing him this summer. We always enjoyed seeing him when he was up. Jenny Rick Robin We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Uncle Dick. Our fathers were very close all those years and we saw Dick so often when we were growing up in Crown Point that he seemed like another member of our family as well. Long after our family moved out of the area we all made it a point to drop in and see Dick whenever we were back in the area. He was always delighted to see us and catch up on things. He treated us so well and never lost his sense of humor. He will be sorely missed by all.

I am so sorry to hear about Uncle Dick. Our prayers are with his children. Jenny Robin and Rick. Our visit with him last fall was wonderful as he reminded me so much of my father Harvey.

We just loved Dick. He was great to be around. We could just spend hours in his company -- talking laughing sharing crazy stories.... He will be missed by all of us at family and holiday gatherings from now on.

My deepest sympathies to Rick Robin and Jenny. I will always remember Uncle Dick as a sweet caring man with a warm smile and a giving heart. My mom always spoke so highly of her brother Dickie and I know they had some fun adventures growing up in a large family.The last time he visited us in Green Bay he was able to share some interesting family information about our heritage and our Native American ancestry. He also shared some pretty humorous stories about my mom when she was young. Having lost her at such a young age it was nice to have Uncle Dick fill in the gaps for me and let me know a little more about who she really was as a person. He will be truly missed! I know you all must have some wonderful memories that will sustain you in the coming days and weeks as you grieve. God bless.

I would like to send my deepest sympathy to the family for their loss. I was a school friend of Robins and I havent seen any of them for many years but I do understand whats it like to lose a parent. Rick Robin and Jennifer I want to extend my sympathy to you for the loss of your dad. Uncle Dick was always very kind every time we got together or spoke on the phone. I know he was a Veteran and I really appreciated his service. Aunt Ginny always talked about him the the family trips. On of his visits to Green Bay he stopped by my house and we were sitting around talking. He noticed I had a pile of firewood that needed splitting and asked if he could help me with it. So here my Uncle is a guest at my house and he is out in my yard splitting wood. I guess he just liked to work. Just an example of how he was always helping everyone.

Jenni Robin Rick and all the Williams Family: I will miss Uncle Dicks conversations and all his accounts of the family history. A little while ago I was going to call him I know his number by heart and then I remembered his suffering is over. And in my last prayer I asked our Lord Jesus to be the one to take Him by the hand and take him to live with Him in heaven and I trust Jesus that my request was honored and my prayer was answered. I will always remember our family picnics and reunions. I love you Uncle Dick and I will see you someday in heaven. Your Niece Judy
