Rev. Robert William Moyar “Bob”, age 80, of Portage, IN, formerly of Maryland, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2022.
Bob is survived by his wife of 20 years, Beatrice Moyar (nee Warner); two daughters: Diana and Jennifer; grandson, Carl; sister, Maxine (late Daniel) Evans; his nieces, nephews, cousins and many good friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents: Joseph and Margaret Moyar; 3 brothers: Charles, Victor and James Moyar; step-mother, Wilda Moyar.
Bob was born and raised in Pennsylvania. After graduating high school, Bob joined the U.S. Army and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War with 22 years of dedicated service as a medic. He attended Theology school in Maine and became an ordained minister. Bob was a faithful member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in South Haven and helped lead many activities, meetings and prayer groups.
Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service, 2700 Willowcreek Rd. Portage, IN 46368 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at the Funeral Home with Pastor John Allen officiating. Interment to follow at Chesterton Cemetery in Chesterton, IN.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Bob’s name to Emmanuel Baptist Church, 760 McCool Rd. Valparaiso, IN 46385.
