I REMEMBER AT THE AGE OF 6 OR 7 GOING TO A DANCE PUT ON BY OUR GRANDFATHER AT THE PAVILION IN FORT FRANCES, ONT. THE PLACE WAS FULL OF OUR RELATIVES BUT NO ONE ASKED ME TO DANCE. I WAS VERY SHY BUT HOPING. FINALLY MY COUSIN RALPH, WHO WAS A NUMBER OF YEARS MY SENIOR - ASKED ME TO DANCE - I STEPPED ALL OVER HIS TOES - HE THEN MADE HIS BEST FRIEND ASK ME TO DANCE AS WELL. MOST OF THE OLDER GIRLS WANTED TO DANCE WITH RALPH SO IT WAS A KIND GESTURE OF HIM TO DANCE WITH ME. I'M HOPING YOU'LL ASK ME TO DANCE WHEN WE MEET IN HEAVEN RALPH. I'M A LITTLE BETTER AT IT NOW! LOVE BARB

Having spent many a day and weekend at the Eggen house, many years ago, I have many good memories of Mr. Eggen. He was quite the expert at shooting pool. I am sorry to hear of his passing and hope the family is doing well. Ralph: Give me a call if you have a chance at 773-894-0257. Would enjoy hearing how the last 30 years have treated you. Joe

As a young person, I told Dad one time that I really loved 'Elvira' by the Oak Ridge Boys... That innocent comment started years of as soon as Dad knew I had walked in the house, 'Elvira' would start blaring from the basement... lol I will always have a special place in my heart for 'Elvira' and to this day, every time I hear it, I think of Dad. I'm so sorry I can't be there personally, but my love and prayers are with you all.
