PROSPERO PAULVIRGO age 85 of Merrillville passed away Wednesday June 11 2008. Survived by wife Rose of 60 years 7 children: Rosanne (Terry Sr.) Clark of Tennessee Paula Virgo of Florida Carl Virgo of Hebron Michael Virgo of Merrillville Anthony (Krista) Virgo of Arizona David Virgo of Osceola Indiana & Catherine Logan of Hobart sister Josephine (late Alex) Purevich of Hebron 14 grandchildren: Terry (Sarah) Clark Jr. Jaime (Nick) Berdy Michael (Josette) MacLaverty Joseph (Stephanie) MacLaverty Carl (Michelle) Virgo Jr. Kristy Virgo Zachary Virgo Vanessa (Bryan) Byczko Paul (Brandy) Virgo Jonathan (Leona) Virgo Richard Terese & Angelina Virgo & Jesse Virgo 11 great-grandchildren: Blade Clark Alecsys Wade Donald Carmody Hailey Hannah Damon Conner & Evan Virgo Lauren Thomas & Amanda Byczko. Preceded in death by daughter Mary Virgo grandchildren: Mary & Elizabeth MacLaverty great-grandchildren: Jeffrey Flynn Jr. Pfenix Clark brother Salvatore SamVirgo sister Dominica Purser. Mr. Virgo was a member Eucharistic Minister Server and attended Mass daily at Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church & Holy Name Society and was a former member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Paul was a member of the K of C Good Shepard Council Itlo-American National Union 55 Club and member of the USWA Local 1014. Paul graduated from Tolleston High School and received an Associates degree from Purdue University Calumet was a World War II Army veteran and served in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a retired supervisor from the Electric Shop U.S. Steel with 42 years of service. Friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service 6360 Broadway Merrillville on Sunday from 2-8 P.M. with a K of C service at 6:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held Monday June 16 2008 at 9:30 A.M. from Pruzin Brothers Chapel and 10:00 A.M. from Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church (8303 Taft St. Merrillville) with Rev. Joseph Vamos officiating. At rest Calumet Park Cemetery.

Dear Rose I read Sundays paper on Monday and was saddened to hear of Paul. I wanted to express our deepest sympathy to you and your family from ours. Your 60 years of marriage was a testament to your love and faith. I know it is that faith that will sustain and comfort you in these trying times. We who are in Christ have a faith and knowledge resting on the hope of eternal life which God who does not lie promised before the beginning of time...Titus 1:2. I am sorry to hear of your loss in Mr. Virgo......

Paul was my Father-in-Law from 1988 through 1993. He treated me as well as and sometimes even better than his own sons. Ive missed his presence these past 15 years and will continue to do so the rest of my days.
