Phyllis J. Keller (nee Harrigan)

Phyllis J. Keller (nee Harrigan), age 87, of Crown Point, IN, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2024.

Phyllis is survived by her son; Daniel (Paula) Keller of Valparaiso; daughter-in-law, Lisa Keller; grandchildren: Benjamin (Amanda), Danielle (Henry) Niemand, Jennifer Keller, Rebecca (Dan) Prochno; great-grandchildren: Jack, Kate, Mary Alice, Piper and Cooper; and brother, Patrick (Carol) Harrigan.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Keller; beloved son, Mark; and parents: John and Estelle Harrigan; and beloved canine friend, Rocky.

Phyllis was an RN for 45 years. She was actively involved in the prison ministry in Westville and RCIA. Phyllis was the Spiritual Director for the women’s retreat at Holy Spirit, Eucharist Minister, on the Parrish Council and helped at Cafe Manna. Phyllis also enjoyed playing bridge.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Geisen-Pruzin Funeral & Cremation Services in Merrillville, IN.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Phyllis’ name to St. Teresa Cafe Manna in Valparaiso, IN.

I was saddened to hear of your loss, I only knew her a short time, she would always come to the kitchen. To ask for two soups, they were her favorite lunch time things to get. She was such a sweet lady and always had good conversations with me. I will surely miss her. She made my days brighter with her kindness.

Danny and Family, we are sorry for the loss of your mom. She is at peace with your dad and brother. Your mother chose me to model her wedding dress way back when and I was honored to do that. Prayers to your family.
