PATRICIA WASIL, age 93 of Calumet Township, passed away Monday, May 18, 2015. Survived by three children: Andrea (Sam) Samansky, Shirley (Keith) Pavlish, David (Barbara) Wasil; seven grandchildren: Heather Hand, Gloria Barthel, Angela Bolden, Rebecca Sheppard, Stephanie Flermoen, Keith A. Pavlish, Theresa Wasil; six great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, Andrew Wasil; son, Johnny Wasil; parents, Shirley (Simi) Parker and Onorato Simi; sister, Gloria Wojkovich. Patricia was a former member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church where she was a eucharistic minister and participated and led many Bible studies. She was also a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass will be Friday, May 22, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. DIRECTLY from SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 5885 Harrison St. Merrillville with Rev. Roy Beeching officiating. There will be one hour of visitation at church prior to services. At rest Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to S. Anthony Hospice, Crown Point.
