Patricia “Lynn” Praschak (nee Fieler), age 70, of Merrillville, IN, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2023. Patricia “Lynn” Praschak (nee Fieler), age 70, of Merrillville, IN, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2023.
Lynn is survived by her husband, Paul Praschak of 50 years; children: Anastasia Praschak and Bridgette (John) Janik; grandchildren: Noah Pryor, John Paul Robert Janik, Andrew Janik, and Blake Janik; brother, Robert (Pam) Fieler; sister, Colleen (Bob) Tibbs; in-laws: Betty (Larry) Woods, John (Bernetta) Praschak, Stephen (Tracy) Praschak, and Carolyn (Robert) Lawson; and her nieces, nephews, and good friends.
Lynn was preceded in death by her parents: Robert and Patricia Fieler.
Lynn was a longtime, faithful and active member of Resurrection Lutheran Church in Merrillville. She was the church organist, taught Sunday School, began their Food Pantry, and started their Victory Garden. She was Head of the Walgreen’s Photo Lab for many years and worked at Anderson Co. and Glen Park Bakery. She loved kids and was a preschool teacher and superintendent at Resurrection Lutheran Church. Her family was her biggest joy and she truly loved her family and grandkids with all her heart.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre, 606 E. 113th Ave., Crown Point, IN 46307 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 26, 2023 at the Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Nagy officiating.

I worked at Walgreens for 20 years. Most of those years I worked with Lynn. I have many special memories of working with her.
One fond memory is of our lunches together in the break room. Oddly, we didn't chat the whole time. What we did was read our books while we ate, respecting each others private time.
She was truly a special, kind woman, and I will truly miss her.

Lynn was a true friend in Christ to me. I was honored to share our gifts of musical talents that the Lord blessed us both with in voice and instrument as a ministry to our Lord's Church. I will always cherish being honored to play my sax at her daughter Bridgett's wedding. We kept in touch through the years on social media and I will cherish in my heart the Christmas Eve service that was broadcast to a parking lot congregation during the pandemic outside with Pastor Nagy officiating. That was to be the last time that we played together for the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. I rejoice knowing that Lynn is now in paradise with her Savior and I will always hold her memory and her friendship in my heart until we will meet again at the table of the Lord in Heaven!
