Mrs. Patricia “Pat” Heeg, age 61 died unexpectedly Friday, May 22, 2009 at St. Anthony Memorial Health Center at ll:00 P.M. The service will be Wednesday, May 27th at 10:30 A.M. at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. Friends may call at Carlisle Funeral Home on Tuesday 4-8 P.M. and on Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.

Mrs. Heeg was born December 2, 1947 in Michigan City the daughter of Stanley “Darby” and Gladys Petoskey Sypnieski. Her mother survives in Michigan City. She was married July 22, 1978 in Michigan City to David “Corkey” Heeg who survives.

Also surviving are children Lea (David) Lindsey , Amy (Paul) McKay, Jeanine (Steve) Stimley and Malinda (David) Sonnenberg all of Michigan City and a son Paul Heeg of Phoenix, AZ.; 10 grandchildren: Randy, Ian, Brenna, Michael, Abby, Lucas, Lizzie, Jake, Wyatt and Ethan; a sister Marsha (Matt) Fritz of Michigan City. She was the office manager at New Age Telecom in LaPorte for 13 years. She was a member of Queen of All Saints Church, faithfully attending 5:30 mass with her mother and participated in many festival and committees; member of Moose #935, VFW Auxillary, she was an avid bowler and golfer as a member of the Darling Divot Golf League. She was a loving and devoted daughter, wife, sister, mom and grandma.

The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society-Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer.

I am so shocked and saddened to hear of Pat's passing. She was one of my favorite customers. I always enjoyed talking to her and hearing about the family she loved so very much. Her family and her "work family" will be in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

I'm so saddened by the news of Pat's passing. I worked with Pat at CTI in South Bend. My best to the family. You're in my thoughts an prayers.

I am still in shock over Pat's passing. She will be deeply missed by me personally and by New Age Telecom as a whole. I will have no one to talk about sports or politics with now! My 5-year old daughter said "Is Pat the one that always gave me candy?" I told her yes. She said, "Well, she is an angel now." Corky-find comfort in the fact that she did not suffer and that she was a woman of faith. She and I had that discussion several different times. Mrs. Sypnieski and Marsha, your daughter Pat has left this earth to be with her Dad "Darby". May your memories ease your pain. May the Lord keep you in his arms during this difficult time.

Our deepest sympathy to all of you. We were so socked to hear of Pat's sudden passing. This only reinforces to us that we need to keep in touch with friends more often, and not just think it. We never know when it will be a last visit. Corky, our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.

Dear Corky and family, I was very sorry to hear about your loss. I will always remember Pat as a compassionate, fun-loving person. I have fond memories of you and Pat from the old Grattys, and of course bowling. I always admired her for her ability to speak her mind, and usually most listened.
