Nancy C. Mohlke-Darling, age 68, of Rolling Prairie, died Wednesday, February 25 at St. Anthony Memorial Health Care Center, Michigan City.
Services will be held Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 12:00 noon at Carlisle Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m. until the service at the funeral home. Burial of ashes will take place at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens at a later date. Mrs. Darling was born April 2, 1940 in Three Oaks, MI to John and Beth Gearhart, both of whom preceded her in death. On Sept. 8, 1995 she married Bert “Larry” Darling, he survives in Rolling Prairie.
Also surviving are sons David (Grace) Mohlke of Valparaiso, Howard (Jill) Mohlke of Michigan City step daughter Kimberly (Rick) Ruhl, grand-daughters Jennifer, Sara and Megan Mohlke, 3 step-grand-daughters Jessica, Mariah and Kimberlin Ruhl, brothers Lloyd and George Gearhart, sisters Louise (Cecil) Mary Lou (George), Marlene (George), Sharon (Jim), brother-in-law Norm, former spouse Ronald Mohlke, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Mohlke, Jr., sisters Phyllis Koth, Ellen Pearson and Florence Carmichael, and sister-in-law Laura Gearhart.

Nancy graduated from Rolling Prairie High School. She was an avid traveler and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She enjoyed family reunions which she helped orchestrate, and also enjoyed going to the casino. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by those who knew her.
