Michael Kaczmar

Michael Kaczmar, age 88, of Crown Point, IN, passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at his home. He is survived by his loving friend of over 30 years: Margaret J. “Peggy” Lefler of Crown Point and her family which consists of her sons and daughters-in-law: James and Dorothy Lefler and Gerald and Kay Lefler; also her 5 grandchildren: Lisa Lefler Althoff, Laura Lefler Kinnaird husband Randy, Rachel Lefler, Sarah Lefler, and Russell Lefler, also her 4 great-grandchildren: Alexander and Matthew Althoff and Peyton and Lindsey Baker. Michael was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Crown Point and was formerly employed at the Lake County Convalescent Home. For more than thirty years, Mike was a part of the Lefler family and was truly a much-loved member. The Lefler grandchildren and great-grandchildren called him “Grandpa Mike”. Funeral prayers will be said on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at 10:30 AM at Geisen Funeral-Cremation & Reception Centre NOTE: NEW LOCATION-2 blocks east of Broadway at 606 E. 113th Ave., Crown Point, IN followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church, 321 E. Joliet St., Crown Point, IN, with Fr. Pat Kalich officiating. Interment at St. Mary's Cemetery in Crown Point, IN. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, May 8, 2010 from 9:00 to 10:30 AM at Geisen Funeral-Cremation & Reception Centre.
