Melody Bland, age 45, of LaPorte, died Sunday, June 14, 2009 at 10:42 p.m. at St. Anthony Memorial Health Center
Services will be held Friday, June 19 at 3:00 p.m. at Carlisle Funeral Home, with visitation from 1 p.m. until the service at the funeral home. Cremation will take place.
Mrs. Bland was born January 22, 1964 in Michigan City to Norman and Peggy (Kellogg) Woodruff, both of whom preceded her in death. On October 8, 1982 in Michigan City she married Tracy W. Bland, he passed away April 2, 2005.
Also surviving are daughter Tara L. (Michael) Crump of LaPorte, son Rocky (Krystal Graves) Bland of Michigan City, and daughter Destiny Sutton of LaPorte; grand daughter Eternity Sutton of LaPorte; brothers and sisters Michael Woodruff of Michigan City, Jerry and Paul (April) Woodruff of LaPorte, Betty (Steve) Dudley of Michigan City, sister-in-law Tamara K. (Dell) Meyer of LaPorte, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Woodruff.
She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family and precious grandchildren.
