Mary R. Rogge, age 84, of Valparaiso, IN, formerly of Gary, IN passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2009. Preceded in death by her husband, Donald C. Rogge. Mary is survived her son; George A. Rogge of Gary, IN, daughter; Diane Ron Feldsien of Loveland, CO, grandson; Douglas Amber Rogge of Merrillville, IN, great grand-daughter; Alexis Rogge, brother; William Pat Hockman of La Porte, IN, sister; Tonie Sullivan of Kennesaw, GA and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Rogge attended 43rd Avenue Presbyterian Church in Glen Park. Mary was a model in Indianapolis and during WWII sewed parachutes for the war effort. She loved sewing. Mary was also a volunteer for Methodist Hospital Auxiliary. Private funeral services were handled by Geisen Funeral Home, 7905 Broadway, Merrillville. There was no visitation. Memorials may be given in her name to the Ross Township Veterans Memorial Fund, 7820 Broadway, Merrillville, IN 46410.
