MARY JAPOLSKY age 81 of Portage passed away Saturday June 16 2012. She is survived by daughter: Sheila Wong of Portage son: Charles Japolsky of Portage many cousins nieces nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews of Canada. Preceded in death by husband: John Japolsky son: John Wong parents Mr. And Mrs. Wing Hum. Mary attended Bonner Center for many years. She was a devoted and loving wife and mother. Family and friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service 2700 Willowcreek Rd. Portage on Wednesday June 20 2012 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be Thursday June 21 2012 at 11:00 a.m. from Pruzin Brothers Chapel with Deacon Richard Huber officiating. At rest Calvary Cemetery Portage. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the family.

I was very saddened to hear of the passing of Mary (Wong) Japolsky. She was a big part of our Georgia St. neighborhood when I was growing up. My deepest sympathies to Sheila and Charlie. JoAnne (Bubik) Gregorash

Dear Sheila I havent seen you since you and your mom came to my moms (Kate Johnson) send-off at Variety Lounge and I was sorry that I could not been there for you today at Pruzin. Your mom was a delightful lady and an AMAZING cook. I can still remember my dad practically drooling in the car when we would drive to your house for dinner. :)

Sheila I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. Your mom was a wonderful lady. I remember meeting her at the picnics and she was always so full of happiness. Dear Sheila and Charlie My deepest sympathy to you and your families during this difficult time. I have such fond memories of your Mom! It is hard to believe that more than 60 years have passed since our families became acquainted. Of course I cannot think of your Mom without reliving those amazing meals she would cook. Our family still talks about how it is impossible to get egg rolls that are even close to being as wonderful as your Moms were. I know your memories of her will help you through this rough patch. Sheila: Your Mom was a great lady. It was a pleasure knowing her through you. She was so proud of you and appreciative of all that you did.
