Mary Ann Fratangeli-Fratogillo

Mary Ann Fratangeli-Fratogillo, age 92, of Michigan City, died Saturday, April 17 at the home of her daughter Christine. Service will be at Sacred Heart Church Wednesday April 21, 2010 at 1:00 P.M., with Rev. Fr. Walter J. Rakoczy officiating Visitation will be held Tuesday April 20, 2010 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Carlisle Funeral Home. A Wake Service will be held Tuesday 3:00 P.M at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. Mary was born November 5, 1917 in Chicago, IL to John and Anna (Wrobel) Orawiec, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Felix Fratangeli-Fratogillo on July 1, 1950; he passed away on May 15, 1968. Mary was the loving mother of: Richard (Ruby) Fratogillo, of LaPorte, Christine (Dennis) Scott, of Michigan City, Ann Ponder, Michigan City, Susan East, Michigan City Gloria (Bill) Archer, Michigan City, Helen Peterson of Abington, IL Shirley Petruszak of Michigan, Diane (David) Malmborg of Georgia, Charles Gasik of Kentucky, a sister Mildred Kmiecik of Tinley Park, IL. Mary has 45 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, 14 great great grandchildren, 2 great-great-great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by 4 sisters, Angeline Jania, Helen Kurranda, Ann Hess, Jean Moorehouse, three brothers, John Orawiec, Stanley Orawiec, Joseph Orawiec, seven daughters, Charlotte, Carol, Catherine, Anna, Caroline, Mary, and Josephine, five sons, Daryl, Wayne, Gregory, George, and Thomas, three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Mary was a devoted Homemaker, she enjoyed being surrounded by her family, going to the casino, scratch off tickets, shopping, watching wrestling, and soap operas. She was a member of the American Red Cross. Mary “Gramma Jello” will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.
