Martha M. Koehler

Miss Martha M. Koehler age 99 of Michigan City, died peacefully at the Arbors at Michigan City after a lengthy illness. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday 11:00 A.M. at the Chapel St. Johns United Church of Christ, with Pastor William H. Fine officiating. Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. until time of service. Order Of Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile Memorial Service will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Miss Koehler was born September 26, 1910 to Frederick and Minnie (Runge) Koehler in Magdeburg, Germany. Miss Koehler is survived by great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Walter Koehler, and sister, Minnie Scherer. Miss Koehler retired from Jaymar-Ruby, Inc. in 1985 as executive Secretary. She had been employed with Jaymar-Ruby, Inc for over 32 years. Miss Koehler was a lifetime member of St. Johns United Church of Christ. She was past matron of Lake Michigan Chapter No. 98 O.E.S. on 6 different occasions. She was a member of the Daughters of the Nile Aretas Temple # 153 and also the professional Secretary’s Association. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Johns United Church of Christ.
