January 16, 1949 - June 6, 2010

MARK R. YAKUBEC Mark R. Yakubec, age 61, of Hebron, IN, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2010 at St. Anthony Medical Center in Crown Point. Mark is survived by his brothers: John Joan Yakubec of Hobart and Mike Yakubec of Schererville; nephews: John and Mike Yakubec; niece Laura Ann Jason Kline. He graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering. Mark worked at LTV Steel, Kaiser Aluminum and Provar Electronics before forming his own company, Integrated Technologies from which he recently retired. Friends and family will meet DIRECTLY at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, 509 W. Division Rd., Valparaiso, IN on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM with Fr. Brian Chadwick officiating. Interment will be at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, IN. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at Geisen Funeral Home, 7905 Broadway, Merrillville, IN from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. I came to know Mark about 15 years ago when he came to help us with a computer control system in our Bremen plant. Mark was invaluable in helping us with the system and made great improvements in our operation over the years. More importantly, Mark was a very pleasant and friendly guy to work with; we all enjoyed seeing him come through the door, and he became a friend to several of us here at the Lebermuth Company. Like me, Mark was a Purdue Boilermaker fan, and we enjoyed talking about the school, the football team, etc. He will be missed by those of us who knew him here at the Lebermuth Company.
