I will always remember Mark as an upbeat person. I only had the privilege of working with him for a few months in the Indianapolis office but somehow immediately found myself at ease confiding in him. He consistently exuded a positive energy that was contagious. Regardless of the circumstances or who the individual was in social status he always had time to be encouraging. He gave goodwill to all. This is noteworthy because he had an incredible amount of valuable law enforcement experience that far surpassed most yet he remained humble and gracious to all with whom he worked. Mark will live in my memory as one of those rare individuals who had the special gift of leaving those with whom he interacted uplifted focused on the positive motivated to do good and thankful for all the blessings in their lives. On multiple occasions he and I discussed our work lives and the lives of our families. I am thankful for those conversations and I will miss his counsel.

Lisa I was so sorry to hear about Mark. He grew up two blocks away and we sometimes played together as children. He was such a fun and nice person as a young boy and an adult. One thing I remember about him as a young boy was that he always stood up for another boy that was being bullied. They say God takes the best home first and Mark was one of the best. You and the girls are in my prayers.

The amount of admiration I have for the way Mark has devoted his life to his family and to helping all those around him is unquantifiable. I have never known someone to open their arms and heart so freely to people and I feel so incredibly lucky to say that I was able to build memories with him and all of you as a result of the ability that he had to love so big. I will miss his hugs laughes large vocabulary stories and times spent together for the rest of my life but I look forward to meeting up with him again. I know he is looking over all of you with a huge bright smile and his sparkling blue eyes I hope you are able to forever find solace in the love and memories you have created as a family.
