MARION QUEENIEVOLK age 88 of Chesterton formerly of Merrillville passed away Monday March 12 2012. She is survived by two sons: Edward Volk of San Francisco Harold Volk of Crown Point daughter Kathleen (Leo) Vazquez of Chesterton six wonderful grandchldren: Edward (Melanie) Volk III Brian Volk Vanessa Vazquez Jessica Vazquez Scott (Katie) Volk Amber (Kevin) Knaga six great grandchildren: Olivia BabyEli BossFinley OFinneyClaire OClaireDylan ODillysister Gloria (late Albert) Stahl of New York. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Volk Sr. brother Harold Edwards three sisters: Grace Edwards Mildred Edwards Eileen Loughlin. Marion was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church Merrillville. She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a former honorary Vice President of NW Indiana Retirees member of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 430 Moose Lodge 783 Ladies Auxiliary and was Queen Mum of Red Hat Society Chapter 19840. Family and friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service 6360 Broadway Merrillville on Friday March 16 2012 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be Saturday March 17 2012 at 9:30 a.m. at Pruzin Brothers Chapel and 10:00 a.m. at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church 5885 Harrison St. Merrillville with Rev. Roy Beeching officiating At rest Calumet Park Cemetery Merrillville.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Kathy Harold Eddie and all their families. I was so sorry to hear of Marions passing. I fondly remember Marion. Many years ago we were all neighbors on Louisiana Street in Gary. Marion was always a kind and fun loving lady. I know that she will be missed by all who knew her.

My deepest sympathy to you all Ed Harold and Kathy. I have fond memories of your mom. She was always having fun and was just a very nice woman. I remember going with your mom and Kathy to walk Puff across 5th Avenue. My mom had fun with her on Louisiana Street and when she visited Marseilles. Just think of your mom Ruth Thompson and my mom up in heaven having fun and laughing all the time. She is with your dad now and I hope that will bring you some comfort.
