MARILYN B. KRANICK age 63 of Portage passed away Wednesday June 11 2008. Survived by 3 children: Daniel (Shirley) Kranick Jr. of Portage Diana Cabanas of Miller & Robert (Melinda) Kranick of Decatur Alabama mother Barbara Heath of Wales 4 step-children: Patrick Cranick of Evansville IN Michael (Nancy) Cranick of South Haven Ronald (Cathy) Cranick of Newburgh IN and Debbie (Rod) Doan of Evansville IN 21 grandchildren 5 great-grandchildren 5 brothers: William (Lynn) Heath of IL Michael (Chris) Heath of Hobart James (Sue) Heath of IL Stephen Heath of FL Robert (Lorriane) Heath of Wales sister Susan (Mark) Finn of IL life long friend Elnora Keller of Lake Station and many nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by husband Daniel Kranick Sr. father Merle Heath and grandson Robert Cranick. Mrs. Kranick was a member of the Good Shepard Episcopal Church of East Chicago a former Girl Scout leader and worked as a cashier & waitress at the Iron Skillet Restaurant in Lake Station. Marilyn was a graduate of Portage High School and enjoyed bowling in leagues at Plaza Lanes in Highland. Friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service 2700 Willowcreek Rd. Portage on Sunday from 2-6 P.M. Funeral services will be held Monday June 16 2008 at 11:30 A.M. DIRECTLY at Good Shepard Episcopal Church (4525 Baring Ave. East Chicago) with Fr. Richard Phelps officiating. Cremation to follow services. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the family.
