Marillyyn and my parents were long time friends. After my dad died mom and Marillyyn got into all kinds of adventures and had lots of fun together. I talked with her this last March just a few weeks before my mom died. Now I can imagine they are both creating all kinds of fun and havoc together. Marillyyn gave me my first real job - the official first "Hat Check Girl" at Pott Country Club. She even got me modeling jobs for the Ladies Shop. Years later we both road the early morning train to Chicago to work - she never came home on the night train with the rest of the crew, she was still hard at work for her travel clients.

When I first met Marillynn I thought she was going to eat me alive, but then I got to know her and she became a nice friend with whom I'm glad to have been able to share time and the occasional glass of wine. Marillynn was the epitome of "service before self" as she gave tirelessly to PATA and other travel organizations. Marillynn: You'll be missed as both friend and associate.

Since I met Marillynn many years ago at a Chicago Women in Travel function, I grew to realize that there was not a more steadfast and determined woman to organize and orchestrate meetings for our travel industry. Marillynn was small in stature but significant in her leadership skills both with CWT and PATA. She was a role model and an advocate of all women in the travel industry. She pioneered the way for many of us to follow in her footsteps. Marillynn will be missed by me and many others whose paths she crossed. May she rest in peace.

I will miss Marrillynn who became a staple in the travel industry always taking care of the most minute details for monthly meetings of PATA (Pacific Area Travel Assoc.) Marrilynn also worked diligently for the Chicago Travel Women. Here's a toast to you and I pray that you are now in a better place! May God hold you in the palm of his hands--for evermore!

Marillynn was a tireless volunteer for the PATA Midwest Chapter, and it was through that organizatin I was able to witness her efforts to promote the travel indistry. Her stamina still continues to amaze me and is an inspiration to those of us in our business. May God bless her soul and comfort those who knew her and who will undoubtedly miss her.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Marilyn worked tirelessly for all the travel organizations that she joined and her contributions were enormous. I personally enjoyed most the theater outings that she organized through PATA (Pacific Area Travel Association). I often saw her on the South Shore Trains..early in to Chicago and late return..I could never keep those hours..What a wonderful contribution she made to the travel industry. My condolences to all those close to her. Cynthia Marquard Aqua Terra Travel Chicago, Il
