MARIETTA SAMBROOKS

Marietta Sambrooks (nee Grimmer) 67 of Schererville formerly of Hammond passed away peacefully on January 30, 2013 at the Wittenberg Lutheran Village. She was born on April 17, 1945 in Hammond Indiana to Ralph(Hazel Ford) Grimmer. Marietta was a 1963 Graduate of Dyer Central High School. She was also a finisher and counter person for Munster Donuts for many years until her retirement. Marietta enjoyed music, her work, and spending time with her family, and her grand kids, she also enjoyed caring for her mother, she was a special person always putting others needs first. She was preceded in death by her father, and many aunts and uncles. She is survived by her Mother: Hazel Grimmer of Schererville, Sons: Dale(Tammy) of Schererville, and Christopher(Christy) of Schererville. Brother; Ralph(Janet) Grimmer of CA, Grandchildren; Jr and Brianna Sambrooks, and beloved friend and caregiver; Amy Titus of Schererville. A Visitation will be held on Monday February 4, 2013 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service 2700 Willowcreek Road Portage, Indiana 46368, a scripture service will be recited on Monday evening at 7:30pm. A chapel service will be held On Tuesday February 5, 2013 at 11 am at the Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens chapel in Schererville, Indiana, with Monsignor Robert Sell officiating. Marietta was a very loving daughter, nurturing Grandmother, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
