Margaret “Peg” Beckman (nee Thompson), 83, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, May 28, 2023.
Margaret is survived by her 2 children: Cynthia (Theodore) Moran, Barbara Beckman; 4 grandchildren: Lindsay Brownschidle, Amy (Matthew) Wopperer, Tyler Moran, Connor Moran; and 3 great-grandsons: Henry, Leo and Thomas Wopperer.
Peg was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, John E. Beckman; her parents: Edward Thompson and Margaret (Thompson) Whiteman, and stepfather, Walter Whiteman.
Born in Philadelphia in 1939, Peg spent most of her life in Gary and Crown Point, Indiana, where she was surrounded by a large, loving family and dear friends.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, June 2, 2023 at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre, 606 E. 113th Ave., Crown Point, IN 46307 from 9:00 AM until the time of Funeral Service at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Crown Point, IN.
