Margaret Lazart, age 82, of Valparaiso, IN, formerly of Gary, IN, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2009 at Chicagoland Christian Village in Crown Point, IN. She is survived by 2 daughters: Nancy Saffa of Valparaiso, IN and Sue Jack Wells of Demotte, IN; 2 sons: John P. Lazart of Hobart, IN and Mark Kristin Lazart of Valparaiso, IN; 9 grandchildren: Julie John Balog, Jenny Jeff Evans, David Wells, Tim Wells, Kimberly, Christopher and Kathleen Saffa, and Bradley & Cory Lazart; 4 great-grandchildren: Riley & Reece Balog, Emma Evans and Ethan Evans. Preceded in death by her husband: John S. Lazart and son: Larry Lee Lazart. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 19, 2009 at 4:00 PM at Geisen Funeral Home, 7905 Broadway, Merrillville, IN with Rev. Jerry Castleman officiating. Private burial at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, IN. Friends may visit with the family at the Geisen Funeral Home, Merrillville, IN on Monday, January 19, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and after the funeral service until 8:00 PM. Mrs. Lazart was a member of Christ Lutheran Church of Valparaiso, IN.
